The engineer has been assessed by ESiNet and is deemed qualified and competent in the following:  

(Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998)

  • Crane Inspections – Overhead, tower, mobile, and vehicle-mounted cranes.
  • Hoist Inspections – Electric, manual, and pneumatic hoists.
  • Lift Inspections – Passenger lifts, goods lifts, and platform lifts.
  • Forklift Truck Inspections – Counterbalance, reach trucks, and telescopic handlers.
  • Winch and Capstan Inspections – For lifting or pulling.
  • Access Platform Inspections – Scissor lifts, boom lifts, and cherry pickers.
  • Slings and Lifting Accessories Inspections – Chains, wire ropes, hooks, and shackles.

(Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002)

  • Chemical Storage Area Inspections – Proper labelling, containment, and ventilation.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Assessments – Adequacy and condition for handling hazardous substances.
  • Ventilation System Inspections – Local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systems for removing harmful dusts, fumes, and vapours.
  • Risk Assessment Reviews – Evaluating the risks associated with hazardous substances and implementing control measures.
  • Emergency Procedures Inspections – Spill containment and cleanup procedures, and emergency showers and eye wash stations.
  • Training and Information Records Reviews – Ensuring workers are informed about the hazards and trained in safe handling procedures.
  • Health Surveillance Records Reviews – Monitoring the health of employees exposed to hazardous substances.
  • Mechanical Integrity Inspection – Check for wear and tear of mechanical components such as gears, shafts, and bearings. Verify proper alignment and adjustment of moving parts. Inspect clutch and brake mechanisms for proper functioning.
  • Electrical Safety Inspection – Inspect electrical components including wiring, switches, and controls for wear, damage, or malfunction. Verify proper grounding and insulation of electrical circuits. Test emergency stop buttons and safety interlocks.
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic System Inspection – Check hydraulic and pneumatic systems for leaks, pressure regulation, and proper functioning of valves and cylinders. Inspect hoses, fittings, and seals for wear and deterioration.
  • Safety Device Inspection – Inspect presence-sensing devices, light curtains, and safety guards for proper installation and functionality. Ensure compliance with safety standards such as OSHA’s regulations on machine guarding.
  • Die Setting Inspection – Evaluate the process of die setting for proper procedures and safety measures. Verify that die setting equipment is in good condition and properly maintained.
  • Operator Training and Safety Inspection – Assess operator training programs and documentation for compliance with safety regulations. Verify that operators are following safe work practices and utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Documentation and Recordkeeping Inspection – Review maintenance records, inspection reports, and documentation of repairs and modifications. Ensure that all inspections and maintenance activities are properly documented and up to date.
  • Risk Assessment and Hazard Analysis Inspection – Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards associated with power press operations. Perform hazard analysis to determine appropriate control measures and safeguards.
